Five-Step Process To Manage Your Project
The kitchen is the heart and soul of family life
For many of us, much of our day takes place in the kitchen. Our mornings are centered there; and our daily evening recaps often take place at the dinner table. So it is not an overstatement to say that we take very seriously our responsibility to make certain your kitchen remodel receives the care and attention it deserves. It goes without saying – we take immense pride in all of our work. But, because of the amount and quality of the time you’ll be spending in your kitchen, it receives just that little bit of added care.
SEAMLESS REMODELING: OUR PROCESS – CONSULTATION
Our consultative process begins over the phone with some basic project questions to prepare for our complimentary in-home consultation. During our first meeting at your home we will discuss the following:
- Your inspiration and vision, ideas, wants & needs
- Functional ideas to gather the requisite information necessary to make informed recommendations based upon your needs
- Establishing a budget which satisfies both your budge and design goals
- Accessories such as cabinets, fixtures, finishes and appliances
- Any questions or concerns that you might have
PRESENTATION OF INITIAL DESIGN AND CONTRACT
- We will present you with a rough preliminary design and estimate with allowances for accessories
- If you are ready to continue with Seamless Remodeling, we will collect a $500 design deposit which will be credited back to you once the contract is finalized
- We will then proceed to final design, with complete product offering and a firm estimate upon which we will execute the contract
- The design and product selection phase continues until you are happy with your choices
FINAL MEASURING AND PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING
- Assign your Project Manager
- Gather final ordering measurements and technical details
- Talk about site logistics
- Prepare for everything prior to commencing work
SEAMLESS REMODELING: OUR PROCESS – WORK BEGINS
PERMITS: This step entails converting your kitchen renovation design into construction documents and submitting them for construction permit approval
DEMOLITION: We prepare the site for extraction and dust management. In the first few days we disconnect all the relevant water, gas, heat and electrical lines going to existing appliances (sinks, ranges, receptacles and lights). We then remove all existing cabinets, appliances, countertops, lights and floor coverings.
CARPENTRY: Where applicable, rough and preparatory carpentry work is completed (beams, windows, doors, walls)
MECHANICAL: Our licensed contractors then “rough in” the electrical and plumbing lines which comprise bringing the new wires, cables and pipes to where they need to be.
ROUGH INSPECTION: Once the preliminary work is complete, we schedule inspections to ensure all work is being done to code. Once approved, the job can proceed.
CLOSING UP: At this stage we close up the walls, lay down the flooring and prepare for cabinets
CABINETS AND COUNTERS: Set and adjust the base cabinets on top of the new floor and hang the upper cabinets on the wall.
COMPLETION: Once the countertop has been installed, we lay tile, paint, set plumbing and electrical fixtures, and connect appliances.
SEAMLESS REMODELING: OUR PROCESS – WRAP-UP AND FINISHING TOUCHES
- Finish final touches to complete the project.
- Demonstrate for you how to clean and care for your kitchen cabinetry, countertops, and tile.
- Remove dumpsters and equipment.
- Final deep cleaning.
- Complete our own final comprehensive internal control inspection
